So school started again it's kinda weird I only have one more of these if I'm lucky (crosses fingers) and I'll be done we'll technically done with formal schooling. I got in to civil for all of you who don't know where I started out in mechanical and I switch to what some call the easy some call the slacker. I just call it the basics of mechanical with a little bit more thrown in for my enjoyment. So basically all of my professors are completly awesome and keep me more than entertained about what is happening. So on that stand point I'm happy. Hopefully next week I'll have finished all of my summer projects that either I was going to start or have started. The bike, the coffee table and maybe a couple more here and there. The room should be together (I want a weekend to finish it) and we'll then maybe a little bit on the walls and the apartment will be done. Tomorrow night will be the first of hopefully many guy only dinner nights. Were doing our own versions of the now famous acheaux blackjack, which for some reason is surprisingly different. I think tonight was the first time that I ever heard kit completely tell the story of her parents break up from beginning to end. It was kinda touching even though it was at eaton it was still pretty cool. I really think God for his amazing works for preparing me for that. I know in someways it's kinda weird to think about it but being around so many people before kit that had to deal with divorces it helped me better understand how to cope with her (not in a bad way just how to help her deal) and everything. I know that if God hadn't trained me there is no way I could have handled the emotional stress that she had weighing on her shoulders. I guess I should thank him more than I already do for that, I really do love how he prepares me. It's like running a marathon just way more cool and complete. I guess tomorrow will be the first of many ticket distributions, it should be interesting to see how this is going to work staying on the other side of the ticket line, instead of waiting im giving, kinda irony some might think.
not much else is happening except there are 21 days till my 21st b-day. Which i've decided I anti pated it and everything else, and now we'll it's not that big of a deal, asked 3 years ago and I would have said I can't wait. Now I just feel like i need to mature and everything else go figure right?

weddings, vt, and chinese internet
So this past weekend was the first wedding of 2008, or maybe the 2nd we'll just call it the 1st of the summer, which is odd for me at least I would have thought that there would have been at least a couple more guess not right. So this was Tripp and alli's wedding Tripp is kits cousin how many ever away, and what surprises some people is that almost 2 years of dating and I still haven't been introduced to every one. The wedding was in Blackburg VA, so just a little bit of a drive. Yet it was interesting to see the memorial prepared for the students of VT that died. You could tell that the students needed something or some way to express them selves and that was how it was done, right in viewing distance of the engineering building where it happened. At Tripp's wedding one of his friends from china came to help him celebrate. I can't or don't even want to know how to start to spell his name and I know if I start that i'll just butcher it and make it sound basically what you want his name to sound like. But he was telling us about the restrictions that china puts on us and basically how he didn't know how or why in some cases that the same kind of restriction weren't put on every one. It was an interesting conversation because i've heard little snid bits of how the whole system works over there, and basically how horrible it is and how the human rights need to do something but still it's kinda interesting to hear from some one's own voice who lives there.
also does any one remember the continent of floating trash somewhere in the pacific ocean, I figured we'd still be hearing about it, I guess it was a good media now kinda thing.

the itsy bitsy spider
So for all of you who don't know oconee, ok the upstate is in a drought. Yesterday Clemson was put on a severe drought warning, I was like really Clemson I figured we'd be the last because of the campus but then again here we are in a severe drought. Yet tonight it's raining ohh what God given blessing rain it is. First I was like I'm going to dread this walk coming from my car to the building I'm staying in. Yet no how can I miss this. It's pretty amazing, I felt cool rain on my shoulders, it's been so long since I nice night rain has came, and it was so refreshing, I want music to be playing, I want to see an old silver airplane come up and me in my rain trench coat say something memerable, yet for tonight I'll settle for nothing more than, the itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout, down came the rain and washed that dang ole spider out.

work
So today will be the first day that I will be working a full 13 hours, five at the desk and 8 for the DOT. It seem like it should be a good bit but I guess I'm kinda excited. First off, I get to be here and interact with people. But most of all its a good chance for me to catch up on the daily news. Sitting at a desk where very little happens is a good way for me to be able to catch up on things that are happening. Plus I get to think things through, recently I've been trying to decide on what im going to do with part of my savings this summer. Every year I try to save a little bit up. But also every summer I save and purchase something, something I want and really don't need but I always enjoy it or atleast mostly. The first summer I worked I helped buy my first car, the second summer I worked I bought my first car. My senior summer I bought the replacement for my first car and last summer I bought a kayak. Normally before anything begins I've already decided on what I want, but this summer I'm having a hard time. The weekend end before last I was at kits, and I've always been admiring a C3 Corvette stingray, it's probably a 77 to 83 not sure exactly on the year, her mom and her have always said it hasn't moved for over 15 years and for atleast a year it's been a beautiful water hose holder. So I don't know what I want, maybe try and barter for this corvette, but if I get it where would I keep it. If I bought it off of passion I would never cheack this ever. But eventually because I'm an engineer this is going to attack me be logical. So I don't know what to do be logical and don't try to get a corvette, tv, or something else and just save or what, (the TV and what not were my other choices)
