weddings, vt, and chinese internet

So this past weekend was the first wedding of 2008, or maybe the 2nd we'll just call it the 1st of the summer, which is odd for me at least I would have thought that there would have been at least a couple more guess not right. So this was Tripp and alli's wedding Tripp is kits cousin how many ever away, and what surprises some people is that almost 2 years of dating and I still haven't been introduced to every one. The wedding was in Blackburg VA, so just a little bit of a drive. Yet it was interesting to see the memorial prepared for the students of VT that died. You could tell that the students needed something or some way to express them selves and that was how it was done, right in viewing distance of the engineering building where it happened. At Tripp's wedding one of his friends from china came to help him celebrate. I can't or don't even want to know how to start to spell his name and I know if I start that i'll just butcher it and make it sound basically what you want his name to sound like. But he was telling us about the restrictions that china puts on us and basically how he didn't know how or why in some cases that the same kind of restriction weren't put on every one. It was an interesting conversation because i've heard little snid bits of how the whole system works over there, and basically how horrible it is and how the human rights need to do something but still it's kinda interesting to hear from some one's own voice who lives there.

also does any one remember the continent of floating trash somewhere in the pacific ocean, I figured we'd still be hearing about it, I guess it was a good media now kinda thing.
